Skybridge ramps up for QLD switchover

Following an open tender process, Skybridge have been selected by the Federal Government to deliver the Regional Queensland Household Assistance Scheme (HAS) and Satellite Subsidy Scheme (SSS). The HAS contract requires Skybridge to provide Scheme contact centre, in home installation services of TV reception equipment and high definition set top boxes for approximately 40,000 customers (based on an opt –in rate of 45%) in 4 TV licence areas from the Capricornia region up to Far North Qld. The SSS contract will see Skybridge installing VAST (Viewer Access Satellite Televison) Satellite Receiving equipment into approximately 13,000 households in regional and remote Queensland. Both contracts will run concurrently in the lead up to the Regional Queensland Switchover from Analog to Digital TV transmission only on December 6 2011.
